We still have a small number of letting slots available for our current school sportshall. We are also now accepting expressions of interest for our new 4G sports pitch.

Information & Communication Technology
St Benedict’s has a modern structured ICT system which allows students access to the computer network through 500+ computer stations located in 11 ICT rooms. Each student has their own unique account which enables them to gain access to laser colour printing, scanning, broadband internet facilities and a large range of software applications. The provision of resources is constantly being reviewed and updated and the system is supported by a team of network specialist technicians based on site.
Technology
In the Design and Technology department, there are four purpose built design and make studios. In addition there is a foundry and welding area, a machine shop consisting of wood and metal lathes, a milling machine and a preparation area manned by a full time technician. There is a well equipped CAD CAM studio with output devices including a Triac milling machine, several CNC engravers/millers and a variety of printers.
In the Food Technology department, there are two refurbished rooms which are both attractive and equipped to a high standard. There is also one fully equipped Textile Technology room.
Engineering
The purpose-built Engineering block was opened in 2003. The facilities include a suite of 20 computer workstations and Engineering Laboratory with equipment necessary to deliver Engineering, Electronics GCSE, AS and A2 courses.
In 2010 an additional room was equipped with specialist engineering equipment.
Science
Our Science department has nine laboratories and a computer suite that are all built and furnished to a high specification. These provide specialist facilities for the delivery of physics, chemistry and biology at all key stages. There is a support team of well qualified technicians to facilitate the teaching of innovative practical lessons.
Sixth Form Centre
The Sixth Form Centre, which opened in September 2011, houses its own refectory, research room, lecture theatre, free WiFi and work stations. Click HERE to find out more about sixth form life at St Benedict’s.
