Chaplaincy

At St Benedict’s, our faith and our Benedictine identity guides us in all that we say and do.

Here at St Benedict’s, Chaplaincy is the engine that drives our mission as Catholics, which is to ‘make disciples of all nations’ (Matthew 28:19), but also our mission as a school, to ‘create global citizens who strive not only for academic excellence, but for a fulfilled life guided by Christ and Virtue.

Our community is rooted in the Charism of St Benedict and guided by Benedictine Virtues and Gospel values. These underpin the work of our Chaplaincy team and help us better serve our students, families and the wider community.

Our Chaplaincy team is made up of staff, students, our priest Chaplain Fr Kevan Dorgan and our Lay Chaplain Liam Millar. We also have close relationships with clergy based within our local parishes. Each individual within our team offers their own unique gifts which contribute to the ways we live out our faith here at St Benedict’s.

If you would like to know more about Chaplaincy, be sure to check out our social media pages:

“Education is not about knowing things or taking lessons but about being able to use three lingos: those of the head, the heart, and the hands… learning so that you can think about what you feel and do, can feel what you think and do, and can do what you feel and think. Unity within a person.”
