Our outstanding new Year 7 students have had the opportunity to participate in the Race to the Line – Rocket Car Challenge this week. This was all thanks to an amazing sponsorship opportunity from Eden Nuclear and Environment LTD.
In this challenge students had to design, make and present a rocket car that they believed would travel 15m in the quickest time possible.
Our students used their imaginations and ingenuity to come up with a range of ideas from the classically inspired to the weird and wonderful. More importantly a great time was had by all!
A massive thank you to Mrs Collins, Mr McConnell, Mr Scally and Mrs Offing from Eden Nuclear and Environment LTD, without whom the days event would not have been possible.
