Our Year 11 students returned to school today to collect their GCSE results, marking the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance and dedication.
There were smiles, celebrations and proud moments as students gathered with friends, families and staff to open their results and reflect on their achievements.
School staff were on hand throughout the morning to congratulate students and provide guidance on their next steps, whether progressing to our Sixth Form, college, apprenticeships or employment pathways.
Mrs Jackson, Headteacher at St Benedict’s said:
“Today is a day of celebration for our students, who have worked exceptionally hard to achieve a fantastic set of GCSE results. Their commitment, perseverance and positive attitude have been evident throughout their studies, and these outcomes are thoroughly deserved.”
“As I retire this year, I could not think of a better way to conclude my time as Headteacher than by celebrating the achievements of another successful year group. I am immensely proud of all they have achieved and look forward to seeing the exciting futures that lie ahead of them.”
Notable results this year included:
Ebony Wilson, who gain Grade 9s in Biology, Chemistry, English Language, English Literature, History, Maths, Physics and RE, and also a Higher Merit in Music.
Ronald Ozumba, who gained Grade 9s in Combined Science, English Language, English Literature, Geography, German, and RE, Grade 8 in Maths, and a Higher Distinction in Engineering.
Nayumi Singh, who gained Grade 9s in English Language, English Literature and RE, Grade 8s in History, Grade 7 in Chemistry & Maths and Grade 6s in Biology and Physics.
Simra Syeda, who gained Grade 9 in English Literature, Grade 8s in Chemistry, English Language, Geography, Physics and RE, Grade 7 in Biology and Maths, Grade 6 in Computer Science and Merit in Extended Maths.
Charlie Veneziani, who gained Grade 9 in Chemistry, English Language, History, Maths and RE, Grade 8s in Biology, English Literature & Physics, Grade 7 in French and Merit in Music.
Heather Gravett, who gained Grade 9 in English Language, Grade 8 in English Literature, Grade 7s & 6s in Combined Science, Geography, Maths & RE, and a Higher Merit in Music and Higher Distinction in Performing Arts.
