This week we have had the pleasure of hosting The Our Lady of Lourdes Statue as it tours various schools in the Diocese.
During the special tour, three different statues will journey to every primary and secondary school in the Diocese. These statues have been blessed and commissioned to encourage devotion to Our Lady, deepen our faith and strengthen bonds between local schools.
St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School delivered the statue to us here at St Benedict’s, and it will the continue it’s journey to St Gregory’s next.
The statue was welcomed into our Chapel by Lola & Connor from Year 7, along with Niiah from our Sixth Form. A folder was handed over from St Joseph’s with instructions and a diary detailing it’s journey.
Throughout it’s stay at St Benedict’s, students will have the opportunity to prayer before it.
