Darts group to continue thanks to kind donation

Last week some students from Year 8 and Year 9 went over to Whitehaven Academy to take part in a darts tournament.

The tournament saw a range of different abilities taking part. Some of the groups have taken part in local tournaments before and for some it was their first time playing against another person.

Mr Hughes, who accompanied the students said:

“Overall, they lost on the night, but the majority of the games were really close and there were some excellent darts. As always, they represented the school fantastically.”

As well as this, Prospect Sellafield Branch have kindly donated £200 towards our darts set up here at St Benedict’s. This will help to pay for darts boards and other equipment needed to start a darts club

Mr Hughes said:

“Thanks to this donation more children at St Benedict’s will have the opportunity to compete in darts tournaments against each other and other schools.”
