At St Benedict’s we understand the importance of supporting your child through the choices that will determine their journey through the next stage of their school experience. The option process has been designed to provide the structure, advice and guidance needed to make informed decisions about the qualifications that will be studied.
We advise students to maintain a broad and balanced choice of subjects to ensure that future pathways are kept open. Although career direction and particular interests are important, we believe that studying subjects that students enjoy also plays an important role when making option choices. Students are more likely to succeed if they choose subjects that they enjoy and have a strong interest in.

World of Work Day – Friday January 30th
Option process introductory letter – February
Option Booklet handed out in Tutor – Monday February 23rd
Options Evening—Thursday February 26th
Parents Evening—Thursday March 5th
Deadline for the completion of Options forms — Friday March 13th
