Hi, I’m Mrs Goodwin the Year 7 Learning Mentor. I’ve worked with Year 7 here at St Benedict’s for the past 8 years.
I really look forward each year to welcoming our new Year 7s and can’t wait to get to know you all!
As your Learning Mentor it’s my job to help you settle into life at Secondary school. I am very approachable and easy to find as my office is on the ground floor. You will see me around school every day and sometimes in your lessons.
The thing I enjoy most as a Learning Mentor is seeing Year 7s grow in confidence during their first year at secondary school. I love hearing about your hobbies, families and pets!
My piece of advice to year 7 is practice getting organised over Summer, pack your bag and get your uniform out the night before school, try to relax and you’ll enjoy your first day so much more and last of all ask questions even if you think they’re not important. I look forward to welcoming you into school soon.
