Our U13 Girls’ Football team made good progress in the NATIONAL CUP this week.

From the outset, our U13 girls were solid and confident in possession, showing composure and control in midfield and defence as they set about asserting themselves on the match.

First Half

Their dominance paid off in the first half when Loe found the net, capitalising on a well-worked move to give her side the lead. As the half drew to a close, Lucy struck to double the advantage, leaving Dowdales trailing 0–2 at the interval. The timing of Lucy’s goal just before halftime was significant — it allowed the girls to go into the break in command, with momentum firmly on their side.

Second Half

Buoyed by their two-goal cushion, the U13 girls continued to press in the second half, looking for more and refusing to let Dowdales back into the match. Sadie extended the lead and later, Loe added her second of the match, wrapping up a fine personal performance and sealing a 4–0 victory.
The girls showed great consistency throughout — clean defence, intelligent movement, and composure in attack. Dowdales had few clear opportunities, and each time they threatened, the defence or keeper was alert and effective.
