This week, a group of our female Engineering and Product Design students visited McMenon Engineering to take part in a Women In Engineering event.
They enjoyed a fascinating and in depth insight into the workings of a high quality international manufacturing company. The students got to follow a product from order through design, manufacture, testing and packaging.
Students also had an inspirational talk from a fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers. They witnessed a range of fabrication and assembly techniques.
