Football Success for Benedict’s Boys

St Benedict’s Football Boys are having a great start to the season, with Year 8 Boys and Year 11 doing particularly well!

Year 8 are enjoying their first season for St Benedict’s! They are currently through to Round 4 of the ESFA National Cup.

Round 2 Win against West Lakes Academy 7-3

Round 3 Win against Queen Elizabeth School 6-1

They will now face either William Howard School or Richard Rose School next week in Round 4.

As well as success in the National Cup, they are also through to the County Cup Semi-Final after great wins against West Lakes Academy (3-2) and Workington Academy (7-3) recently.

The will face either Dallam School or Queen Elizabeth School in the coming weeks! Good Luck Boys!

As well as this great run by our Year 8 Boys, our Under-16s team are also off to a flying start! They are also through to Round 4 of the ESFA National Cup having defeated Garstang Academy (6-2) in Round 1, Netherhall School (6-0) in Round 2 and Trinity School (3-1).

The will now face either Montgomery High School or Clitheroe Royal Grammar School in the next round.

They have also made it through to the Quarter Final of the County Cup and will host Trinity School in the coming weeks. Good Luck!
