Our students have had a busy term of fieldtrips!
Year 7 were our first fieldtrip of the year. The Geography & History departments were once again very fortunate with the weather and we had a great time completing fieldwork around the city and exploring Carlisle Castle. The year 7 students were excellent and worked really well throughout the day, an absolute credit to the school.
Our year 12 Geographers spent their first fieldtrip this term in Manchester. They walked from the Etihad stadium across the city to the original site of Manchester in Castlefield. They completed a range of data collection techniques – From pedestrian and traffic counts to environmental quality surveys. Once again, the students worked hard and practiced techniques that they can include in their coursework later in the year.
