I am incredibly grateful to be given the opportunity to be on the Sixth Form Council. In particular, I am looking forward to organising and planning social events to bring the school community together.
I am really excited to carry out some fun charity events and raise money for our charity – CRCL (Cumbria Rungwe Community Link)
“I’m honoured to have been selected as Publicity Lead as I’ve always had a passion for journalism, as well as advertising, both of which are integral to the role. I run the Sixth Form Instagram page and design posters to advertise events, such as bake sales or pyjama days.”
I’m looking forward to working as a part of a community with the rest of the Sixth Form Council and Sixth Form as a whole. I am excited to help everyone in any way possible by working effectively as a team as well as completing my own independent tasks. I’m also looking forward to seeing what events we can bring together how this can create a tight-knit community as a whole Sixth Form.
I’m looking forward to working with the upcoming Year 12’s to ensure that cohesiveness is built between Year 12 and Year 13 and so they feel heard at Sixth Form. I’m passionate about helping people and I am available to help the Year 12’s with any concerns they may have about Sixth Form, so that they feel comfortable in the environment when they start in September.
“Being a Head Student for Sixth Form and my newly assigned year group means a lot to me as someone who has been a member of this school community for 6+ years, and also as someone who has gone through catholic education my whole life.”
“It is not only being a role model for younger students, but also somebody that they can feel comfortable to talk to about anything, from school to their personal life, for example.”
“There are a few main things that I aspire to do with my time as a head student. I would want to have one to one discussions with children whose behaviour may not be up to the standard that we aspire to be at and try to help them enjoy their time in school as much as they can.”
“I’d also like to help out with exam stress that students may be experiencing and help out with revision as much as I can as from experience I know how stressful GCSE exams can be in year 10 and how daunting the lead up to Year 11 is.”
“This opportunity is important to me because it gives me the chance to make a difference around school.”
“I plan on encouraging the Year 7’s to have a smooth transition into secondary school and making sure they feel like their voice is heard.”
“It really means a lot to be recognised and chosen to be Head Student for Year 8. I hope in my time in this role I can make school more enjoyable for everybody in any way possible.”
“I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity of being Head Student. I am excited to be able to build a community with students and teachers, and to be a role model for the younger students in school.”
“This opportunity will allow bigger and better things in the future and I can’t wait to see where it takes me!”
“For me, to be a Head Student is to participate in school life and be part of the school community. It is the opportunity to bring new ideas that can improve the school environment.”
