This week students from Years 7 & 8 have taken part in the Junior Maths Challenge, through the UK Mathematics Trust.
The Maths Challenge involves 48 students from the top sets in Years 7 & 8.
The students were chosen by their maths teacher or they volunteered for the challenge themselves.
The challenge is a one hour multiple choice test paper that asks problem solving questions.
The students papers are then sent away to be marked. It is possible for the students to achieve a bronze, silver or gold certificate depending on their score.
If they score high enough they can qualify for the next round of the competition. We should receive the results later in May.
Good Luck to all who were involved.
