Students enjoy fabulous week in Italy

During half term last week, a group of students from St Benedict’s have enjoyed a fabulous week of skiing in Italy.

The group of 30 students were accompanied by Mr Lambert who arranged the trip. He said:

“I would like to say a massive thanks to all the students in how they represented the school throughout the trip and how they performed on the slopes. I really hope they enjoyed it as much as it looked.”

“Also a huge thanks to the staff involved in taking the students over to the resort. It really was a trip they will never forget and the best I’ve personally ran out of St Benedict’s.

On the final evening of the trip, a special awards ceremony was held to pick the Ski Awards Folgaria for 2019. Full details below:

Mr Harrison’s Moment of the week:

“A particular mishap getting off the chairlift from Logan causing a small stoppage.”

Mr Lambert’s moments of the week:

“Every chair lift journey with Poppy, Laya and Sophie. Conversations of food, food and more food, fantastic singing and of course Poppy’s laugh.”

Top moments of the week (voted for by the students):

3 – A mixture of sking for the first time, fantastic views, great instructors and fast runs.

2 – Total Wipeouts – On a few occasions featuring a few students.

1- Mr Lambert losing his ski, whilst on a chair lift and subsequently having to walk back down to get it.
