Regional Swimming Success for St Benedict’s Students

Students from St Benedict’s have recently had some fantastic success at the North West Summer Regional Championships.

Micheal Connery and Rhys Jackson both from Year 8 and Jackson Jardine from Year 7 competed in the event at Manchester Aquatics Centre.

All three students achieved the required swimming times to compete at the event. At the competition they had lots of personal best times and made lots of finals.

Miss Powe, PE Teacher at St Benedict’s commented:

“This is a great achievement from all the boys.  Swimming requires lots of personal dedication and self discipline.  Good luck to the boys in future championships, I am 100% sure they will do themselves proud.”

Michael and Jackson swim for Copeland ASC and Rhys swims for Cockermouth Swim Club.
