From the Chair of Governors
Dear Reader
As Chairman of St Benedict's Governors, I am pleased to write this foreword to the school website.
On behalf of the Governing Body, I would like to take this opportunity to assure parents of our total commitment to provide a first class and all round education of our pupils, in a caring and Christian environment.
We firmly believe that every child is special and must be treated as such and along with the Headteacher and his staff have formulated policies to ensure this.
It is also our role as Governors to listen to the concerns of parents, to establish policies for the development of the curriculum and for the spiritual and pastoral care of our pupils and to establish priorities for the allocation of resources, along with the maintenance and improvement of the school premises.
We believe the success of St Benedict's depends upon building strong partnerships between the Governing Body, the staff, parents and pupils and also between the school, our parishes and the wider community. The Governors are committed to developing these partnerships in the best interests of the school.
