Monday of Holy Week
In the Gospel, Judas questions why perfume wasn’t sold to give to the poor, but Jesus knew that Judas’ intentions weren’t pure, and He knew that he was only concerned about the money. Today, we see our communities rallying to those in need, buying food and supplies, making equipment for public services and giving their precious time in service to their neighbours. That is what it means to be Human… to love one another. But the Gospel goes further than this and reminds us, that we must give to God as much as we give to our communities. That act of giving, comes through worship, praise and adoration. Giving to our brothers and sisters is what it means to be human, but giving to God is what it means to be a Christian.
