Dear Parents/ Carers

We have now received clarification from the local authority about how schools will operate for key worker pupils and vulnerable pupils.

PLEASE READ THE LETTER FROM THE LOCAL AUTHORITY IN DETAIL BELOW:

St Benedict’s will be open next week for those pupils who absolutely need to attend. This is the policy of the local authority. You may be asked to prove your employment status.

The arrangements are as follows:

We will open at 9.30am on Monday and close at 3.25pm.

We will operate normal school hours Tuesday to Friday.

Pupils need to attend in uniform (local authority policy).

There will be no school transport.

Pupils will not be following the National Curriculum.

Please ensure Pupils have money on their dinner money accounts (unless you are free school meals).

This is an ever changing situation and we are trying our best to keep you as up to date as possible.

School will be operating on a skeleton basis.  This service is if you absolutely need to use it.  If you can find alternatives then please do so, to help stop the spread of the virus.

Polite reminder that “it is very important that individuals with symptoms that may be due to coronavirus and their household members stay at home.  Staying at home will help control the spread of the virus to friends, the wider community, and particularly the most vulnerable”.  Please find information here:  https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance/stay-at-home-guidance-for-households-with-possible-coronavirus-covid-19-infection

Thank you so much for your continued support.

Yours faithfully

Emma Jackson
