Dear Parents/ Carers
As instructed by the government, we will be closing at 2.30pm tomorrow, Friday, 20th March for the foreseeable future. We have worked tirelessly over the last few days and hours to try and ensure that we have lots in place to support our pupils both academically and pastorally.
Firstly, on-line learning is available through our website. Students should access this daily and work in periods of 55 minutes approximately. Please include PE, it is important the students remain active.
If you have any technical difficulties please e-mail:
If you have any academic or subject related questions please access the email form on our website. Each query will go to Heads of Departments.
It is important that we provide the pastoral support for our students that we would normally do. If students (or parents) have social or emotional issues please e mail:
These e mails will go to Heads of Year and Learning Mentors.
Please note e-mails are not monitored after 5pm and at weekends. However, we will respond quickly during the school day.
Child care will be provided for key workers and children with EHCPs. This is being co-ordinated by the local authority. If you are a key worker and need child care, please follow the link:
Year 11 and Year 13 students will receive a separate letter advising about what we know in terms of examinations.
We have informed Year 11 and Year 13 students that they may not be returning to school. However, we absolutely promise that it will not be the last time we are together. We will have a leavers’ assembly and a prom. We just don’t know when.
I will take this opportunity to thank you for your unwavering support and understanding over the last week. These are unprecedented times however, we will emerge stronger and our school will continue to go from strength to strength.
I would also like to thank publically the staff and students who have been amazing this week. Everyone has pulled together and I am immensely proud.
Please take great care, keep in touch via our various e mail addresses and stay safe.
