The Health and Social Care department offers vocational courses in both Key Stage 4 and 5. Both courses cover a wide range of topics linking to Health, Social Care and Early Years settings.

- Health and Well-being
- Mental Health Issues
- Anatomy and Physiology
- Understanding Nutrients
- Making a meal suitable for a specific dietary need
- Body Systems and Disorders,
- Delivery of Quality Care
- Child Development and Planning and
- Provision of Care
The course content and delivery makes it an excellent course for students who know the career path they wish to follow, as well as for those unsure about their future career pathway. All courses are equally suited to both boys and girls.
The curriculum provides relevant experiences to allow students to move into a career in the health, early years or social sector but is a respected starting point for other careers. Career opportunities include Childhood and Youth Studies, Criminology, Nutrition and Health, all areas of Nursing, Midwifery, Counselling, Paramedic and Ambulance Roles and Social Work.
