COMING 2018: OUR NEW SCHOOL BUILD WITHIN THE ‘CAMPUS WHITEHAVEN’ PROJECT
In August 2015, it was announced that new state of the art facilities will be built for both us and Mayfield School within the ‘Campus Whitehaven’ project. This is a £33 million investment from a range of partners including Britain’s Energy Coast, Copeland Community Fund, Cumbria County Council, the Nuclear Decommissioning Authority and Sellafield Ltd.
The two schools will come together on the current St Benedict’s site replacing the buildings, radically improving the teaching and learning environment and creating the potential for boosting pupils’ aspiration and attainment.
The proposal is about investing in Copeland’s future, ensuring that there is the knowledge, skills and good health in the community to get the most from the opportunities presented by the anticipated growth of the nuclear and renewables industry.
This section on our website is dedicated to keep you up to speed with all developments as and when they happen, and will give YOU the chance to take part in this exciting project. Please see the Campus Whitehaven Latest News page for all the latest developments.
