The English department are celebrating as some of their students have had their work published through a national poetry competition.
Last year, the current Year 10 students entered their original work into the Poetry Escape competition, which is ran by Young Writers.
They chose their own way to define what “to escape” meant to them and crafted these ideas into a poem.
Mrs Whelan, English Teacher at St Benedict’s said: “This a great achievement for our students.”
“An impressive twenty three students have now been chosen to have their work published in the 2019 Poetry Escape Anthology which will be published in October. “
