7 Francis – Mrs Thomason

Hi new year 7! My name is Mrs Thomason and I’m a Science teacher here at St Benedict’s. I teach General science to Years 7,8 and 9 and Biology in upper school .

What’s your favourite part of being a Year 7 tutor?

I love welcoming new students to our school and helping you get settled in. It’s great to meet new people and get to know all about you. I know you will love it here.

What makes you happy?

Being a year 7 tutor makes me happy, I have been part of the year 7 team for many years now and it’s lovely to hear nice things about my tutor group and how they are trying hard in their lessons. I love cooking and baking and I am happy when I go for a long country walk or swimming. I also love spending time with my family.

Advice for your new tutor group:

My advice would be to be organised and give anything a go! Don’t be scared and try and get involved in as many new clubs as you can. Everyone is here to help you settle in. I would also advise you to be kind to everyone and try to make some new friends when you come to St Benedict’s to add to the friends you already have.
